Simple Tags :)

Am now in experimenting the distressing inks, Stamping techniques and using Masks.

Crafters corner Blog gave a lot of inputs regarding the Stamping and of course this post, in particular made me to come out of my comfort zone, and try out my hand in Stamping and Distressing especially..

For the first tag,i distressed the tag with Shabby shutters distress ink. Then Tim holtz flourishes Mini mask is placed on it and distressed again with Tumbled glass. Few flowers are stamped and colored using Spun sugar and Barn door distress inks. Sentiment is added.

For second tag, i made a tag from a embossed card. On de-embossed side, Frayed Burlap, Spun sugar and Tumbled glass are distressed and blended so as to highlight the embossed effect. Medallion stamp is randomly stamped on the tag and Stamped flowers are colored using Barndoor and Tumbled glass and did fuzzy cut and popped up on the Tag using adhesive. Sentiment is added on a banner.

Hope you all like my Stamping and Distressing experiments :)

Quilled Bird-Cage 2

Exactly an year ago, i did similar bird and cage quilling, as my first post from India after my relocation from Taiwan.

This time, happen to see a design from net and wish to quill it. Here is the quilled version.

Now a days,i wish to add some distressing and love to use punches along with quilled piece. The cage is quilled on a beige PP and a kraft diecut is added at the centre and on it 2 quilled birds are added with few designs at corners. Sentiment "Love" is stamped below the birds.

Likewise few designs are added at the bottom of cage. And Ms decoshell punch borders are added on the PP. This beige PP is distressed with rich cocoa momento ink around the edges and just leaving portions around the cage just to highlight it, hope you can see it. The real is much more better than pictures here actually!

Hope you all like it!!

Beige PP - Sudha
Metallic Brown PP,Black cardstock (cage) - Taiwan

I love to do multiple folds cards and this time, have come up with S shaped card.

As per Lulupu's challenges, have to get inspiration from one of DT's cards and mine is Indira's S shaped card.

Indira's card

My take on this card is

The base cardstock is a pink handmade paper and stamped border stamps on front and back panel. Added a doily diecut on the centre whose edges are distressed with Angel pink momento ink. And few flowers, leaves, punched leaves are added.  And Sentiment is stamped and added just below central doily.

Pixar's "UP" inspired CAS card

I just love this challenge at BGC.. Movie inspired CAS card....This inspired me to create a card about lovely Animated movie "UP".

Am not usually love to see any movies...But when it comes to Animated movies from Disney-Pixar, I just love and jump like anything to watch at the earliest, when its released :)

Few of my favorites are Tinkerbell, UP, Tangled, Toy Story and so on.....

And now about my card..Simple attempt in creating the crux of my lovely movie, "UP"

I have linked up my favorite song from this movie in earlier post, hear it, sure to love it :)

Hand drawn house and balloons are colored using Faber Castell pencils and handcut them and popped up in the base card.  I just masked the edges of the card, distressed the mountain using the green momento inks and sky using Tumbled glass Distress ink. Added the sentiment : "The Sky is the Limit". This is what, comes in my mind when i wanted to make a card for the movie...

Hope you liked my attempt :)

Spring Mood - 2

Spring....

Most cherishable memories of mine are in Spring season...Such a wonderful season, which i long to have throughout the year...

Last year, i made a quilled version of Spring ...Which had my sweet memories of my trip to Jeju... And this year though not residing in Taiwan...still dwelling in sweet memories of that country...

Recently bought a blanket for my littleone and i found a design of these cute little pair. Badly wanted to give a quilled version to that. And the scene around it, is what my Spring mood is...Always my mind is so very joyful whenever the place is filled with fluttering butterflies, green plants, lovely breeze and i dont need anything more at all to elate my soul...

And....for the first time, i have tried "Edge-on quilling" aka "Silhoutte quilling" aka "Papergraphic Quilling".
Being first time, i took a simpler one and tried my best...Yet needs lot of practice to get that perfection.
And after quilled portion is over, i dont wish to leave it as such and so tried my hands at distressing the blue sky. I made a small cut out clouds and stuck those in the base to get the clouds. And for the grasses, diecuts have been used in different colors to give depth to that. Butterflies are punched out from MS butterfly punch and shaded them with different patterns using Faber castell pencils. Mini daisy punch is used for little flowers.

Hope u like my little attempt in depicting my lovely Spring season, once again ....

Happy Quilling!!!
